I have really thick, light brown hair that is about 2-3 inches below my shoulders. Half my hair is greasy, the other half is really dry. It is wavy/naturally curly, but not uniform througout. No matter how many times I trim the tips, they are always really dry and are never sleek or smooth.

I really want to wear it straight, but when I blow dry it, it is really frizzy and still wavy. Thus, I have to use a straightening iron on it. This whole process can take an hour to get it mostly straight and nice. I don't have this kind of time.

Can anyone suggest a new method for drying? How about some inexpensive products to help? These suggestions have to be cheap and only take about 10 minutes or less!

Thanks! :)

Which part is dry? Maybe the dry part is damaged? Maybe get some sort of moisturizer or a straightening serum that you put on before you blow dry that should help with the straightening process. But I doubt if your hair is thick it will take 10 mins or less to straighten it out.

so...
when u have hair like that
its kinda hard to be on it for only 10 mins [i know , same hair]

what i do is basically a routine =/

on sunday ill wash and condition
put some leave in conditioner, or use john friedas freeze-ease oil thing cuz its good

wait till it dries by itself
then u need a really good straightening iron
a ceramic one
[i use jibere wich is kind of expensive but the only one that really works . u could get it at sallys or jc penneys salon]
and then iron it from the bottom to the top little by little

if u got bangs do those first or they will be weird

then pretty hair on Monday, a style u like on tuesday maybe wednesday a ponytail and wash at night

same for the weekend =]

Well, first of all my 2 step sisters have the same hair and it is so, just like really bulky and I hated it so thats why they use Aussie (Sydney Smooth) Works great.
