Welcome to Spanish.Don't worry about different Spanish speaking countries.Spanish like English is understood in all the countries that use the language.I am already 68 years old and I started learning Sp. a long time ago.The thing you need is exposure,a passion for Spanish and never ever quit.I tell you how I did and do it. Get a wordpicture book,a dictionary,a grammar and a Sp. Bible and attend a Sp. church.Visit Sp.speaking countries.Make friends.Start corresponding.Use what you know.Write and speak what you know.I have been at it for more than 45 years.
