I meant in real life. I think everyone enjoys watching high speed pursuits on the news but in the back of my head I'm always rooting for the "bad" guy to get away.

So like any cops specials or anything similar?

I doubt there are many floating around available for public viewing. It would make that department or officer look bad. Same with any job though, no one wants something floating around in the public eye that makes them look bad or incompitent. The way things are now though with surveilence and radios people hardly ever get away and when they do it's usually because the police let them due to dangerous conditions

yes sometimes they do, i was privy to one that ended it two cruisers smashing in to one another accidently while attempting to stop the stolen truck, destroying the two cruisers, no one was seriously injured in the accident, the two were arrested aboard a bus in the west two days later,
The staff sgt laid down the two days later, NO highspeed chases unless its a bank robbery or murderer, no exceptions.
