# be a Canadian citizen;

* Citizens of another country who have landed immigrant (Permanent Resident) status in Canada may also be considered for enrolment when the CF has need of their skill, when the position cannot be filled by a Canadian citizen, and if the national interest would not be prejudiced. However, only under exceptional circumstances will authority be granted to enrol a citizen of another country.

enlistment numbers are down as far as I'm aware so there may be a chance. Although last I contacted them they implied I may be eligible, at default I may not be eligible due to a potential conviction in 2004, although they said a three year period or something on that - which expires this summer or last but there may be a handful of other reasons why I wouldn't be eligible.

Also you should know French to be an Officer as far as I'm aware.

Also note there is no "Canadian Army" per se, but the Canadian Forces, which are consolodated under a single Force Command - but with specific specializations and deployments MOS etc.. There are Infantry (Light Infantry and what not)

PS here is the Canadian Army Site....

I'm sure the Canadian army would like to hear from you if you could at least spell the name of the country correctly. That being said, I would suggest you contact the Canadian consulate or embassy nearest you. They'll tell you how to proceed. It's like getting a job, so you'll probably need your passeport and some sort of visa or work permit,

You want to join land force command in the Canadian Forces in a non "purple" trade. It is all one armed forces, with 3 environmental commands (land, air, sea)

I believe you can join as NCM in the Canadian Forces if you are have legal immigration.

Not too sure, I am from other country, I just have friends in the Canadian Forces.
