I just bought Members Mark frozen fully cooked ready-to-eat shrimp, and as I was eating it I noticed that some of it hadn't been deveined. Is that ok to eat? I thought all shrimp had to be deveined. Does anyone know?

No, shrimp does not have to be deveined when you buy them..I've eaten shrimp all my life and have never went through the trouble of doing that.
Veined, deveined, it doesn't matter. Choose your own way to do it.

I would expect it to be deveined and would complain, but I do not think they have to be. Yes they are still safe to eat, and unless you are eating them completely plain, the other flavours will over power the slight bitterness.

I wouldn`t eat those shrimp. You are subject to acquiring the much feared shrimp vein syndrome if you do.

It should be devained, but I think that is for appearance sake.
