if engine is still quiet suspect a sending unit problem check your oil level and go to your trusted repair facility a.s.a.p. if the engine has become noisy have it towed to your trusted facility while damages have been done, they may still be repairable. good luck i hope it is just a sending unit.

Most likely the oil pressure sending unit, if the engine sounds ok and the level is good it probably the oil pressure sending unit, these cars have VDO or Yazaki instrument clusters and rarely go bad bad

it could either be low on oil or the sending unit is going bad on it,you need to have it checked ,because if its the unit ,it needs to be replaced, and there's always the possibility that it may be loosing its oil pressure, either way id have it checked to be safe about it,good luck with it.

Low oil level, low oil pressure, faulty oil sensor circuit.
Your owner's manual will describe the light sequence to determine if it is the oil level or oil pressure.
You need to rectify ASAP.
