I tried to adopt but they made it so expensive and difficult. I raised 3 kidsand they are in college so I know what I am doing. I have a great job and I am not interrested in getting married because I was and I dont want to do it again. there are so many children with no home and I have a great one...doesn't make sence does it? I am a nurse and I just want to find a child that needs a mother to love them.

If you really want to do this you could probably do it if you keep looking and don't give up. Are you talking about the govt. or a private adoption? I know the states have a lot of variations in their laws on who can or cannot adopt so if you live in a red state where they are more judgmental and into bible-thumping you might have to try a little harder. Good luck and I salute you.

You can adopt. Go through your state's child services. Its usually very cheap, and they often wave the fee if you can't afford it. Plus you get the satisfaction of adopting a kid out of foster care who might have otherwise never had a home.
