Similar to 'soul' but try not to pronounce a 'u' sound after the 'o'.
The diminutive (little sun) would be "solecito", pronounced soh-lay-see-to. Very appropriate for a rabbit, I think.
I just love animals...:-)

A = AH
E = AY (as in MAY)
I = EE
O = OH (as in SOUL)
U = OO as in MOON
So, SOL would be pronounced, in Spanish, S OH L, or SOLE as in SOLE SURVIVOR.
ÃBuena suerte con su conejo!

it is the same as when someone is mad and they say in a forceful way, "so!" with a emphasis on the "o" or "soh"
or pronounced the same way as "Seoul," S.Korea or "soul" as in mind, body & soul.

I pronounce it to rhyme with Paul.
(Incidently, Sol is also the name of the sun.)
