I have had a lot of cats over the years. I have come to find that naming them with common names is a complete bore. I tend to sit back for a few days while interacting with them to learn their personality, then name your new cat. My cat's name is Miss Kitty, because she is always primping and seems so proper.

The last time, I used a friend's name which became "Jazz Hailshimmer", the perfect name for a white kitten.
