I have not studied that much, have enough to learn with mine. I thought if you were a Christian you were not to follow false doctrine, but some others would be kind enough to answer.

Interesting note that many religions from all over the world mention a great flood. Some with just one or two persons in a boat. Does Buddhism mention that also? Enjoy.

No. Both teaches some of the exact same basic principle and buddihism also teaches self-control which is perfect for a christian seeking to stay on the right path. My husband who is roman catholic and myself practice both, along with white magic and native american shamanism. All religions have the same basic principles of right and wrong, good and bad, and the foundations are the same ( except for satanic worship). Besides the catholic church does recognize Buddah as a prophet along with Muhammed.

I am a Christian and it does not offend me at all. The Buddha seems to have the same Spirit as Christ.

Some conservative Christians may object, but I disagree.

The Buddhists I know seem very open to people of other faiths; they seem to emphasize meditation, not doctrine.

Not, I've studied all kinds of religions including Buddhism also. It doesn't offend me what kind of religion your are or you study.

As a Buddhist - no. It doesn't bother me. I studied Christianity myself. The buddha actually told his followers to study all that is relevant to them, and other religions are relevant.

The more you understand about the many aspect of this very diversive life - the better you're able to survive mentally.

No dude! I wouldn't be offended at all. I did a study in ancient Zoroastrianism. It was good to do, taught me things, solidified my faith in what I believe, brought up a few questions I had to think about.

Thinking is good, especially if it leads to you the truth.

Why would it offend us? I'm studying many world religions for school. Unless you mean you are trying to get involved with both religions. If so, I still couldn't care less rather be offended...

Studying and believing in/following are separate issues. Either way, evey one here knows I am Christian and what I believe the Truth is...

But my dear, I am not offended one iota! It is your choice to do what u do!

Take care, God bless

I think you should study any religion you choose. It is good to broaden your perspective, on how God has been connected to, by other people in other parts of the world. It is good to search for the best spiritual ideas, no matter where, or from whom.
