Videos. Lots and lots of videos :/ (no, not *that* kind)

I've always been a bit of a loner. It didn't start to bother me until I was in my 30s and realized everyone around me was married and I wasn't. I tend not to like to be around anyone because I am the only single person and being around a bunch of couples can be very uncomfortable.Sometimes it feels kind of like you're walking around with a big label taped to your chest that says in big bright letters "hey everyone, look at me, I'm not wanted."

I don't mind being alone most of the time. I can always visit friends and family. I read, cook, get on the computer, edit photos, make slideshows, email family and friends, instant message people.

I think the being alone is in contrast to having had someone(s) with you and the difference is kind of hard to get used to initially. In time, it isn't negative for me. I could take classes. I do work. I have two cats. All of these help.

I would not want to be alone all the time so I arrange get togethers with family and friends. I enjoy these times. I invite people over for a barbeque or other eating event. A friend will come next weekend. We may go to the show. We will eat well and talk a lot.

Is this a possibly suicidal lonliness??
I've spent months looking in on the world because of lonliness. I found it reassuring to plan a suicide, but MAKE SURE you plan it precisely and just like you would want to do it. The best thing about this strategy is that you don't have to go through with it. For example I used to do this when I was 13. By the time you get to the date you planned to end it all on, you most likely will feel so much better you won't go through with it, but while planning it it will help.
Even the lonliest people aren't as alone as they think they are, being alone WILL pay off.
Take it from someone who spent their lone years studying my *** off and writing. Now I make a 6-digit salary a year by writing and studying mentally ill people. How ironic.........

Sometimes it's nice. Other times, it really gets depressing.

When I don't like being alone I try to keep myself very busy, and somehow I can forget about it.

Humans do need certain amounts of interaction with other people in order to function normally, and live a happy and healthy life.

For the most part, I don't mind it. I tend to be a loner by nature. However, I do find it difficult sometimes. Like when you're at a party, & everyone's a couple & has someone to go home with, except you. Wine helps.

See loneliness, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris in section 9. Read pages 2, and 38, on volunteering, which would end your loneliness, and benefit others.

Yes and I love it! I get to do what I like when I like. I get up when I like, I watch the T.V. programmes I like,I stay on the beach all day if I like, I don't even have to get dressed some days if I like, I eat what I like, when I like and I answer to nobody.
