If you are the one asking, and you have never been out with them before, it is always polite to ask what they are interested in first, or make suggestions based upon what you may perceive as mutually entertaining. I think you should also offer to pay, but if your date offers to pay you should let them. Offering to buy popcorn or a snack can be a nice way to show you appreciate that they paid for you to go.

Go for a film well rated. You can check this just by google (its easy). I think itsa bad idea if you pay for him because if anyone has to pay all of it, it should be the man for the woman. He might start to think that he can use you a bit if you start giving him favours like this so early on in a relationship.

If i were you i would just ask him to go to the cinema with you. This way he wouldnt expect you to pay. If you really want to pay for him however, you could always buy extra sweets instead for him? That always goes down well. Also i wouldnt go to see a scary movie early in a relationship. Romance isnt always a good choise either becuase its not often what us men like. I would say stick with comedy or action. But whatever film it is, make sure its a good one!!

Good luck!

It depends on who asked whom. The person who asked should pay or you could go dutch (both people pay for own stuff). The movie should either be agreed on or be picked by the person who was asked on the date.

You would pay if you are the man, but I would not be offended by a woman wanting to treat me to something like that. That would show me that I do not always have to spend money on her, and that she is considerate of my needs as well.

If you don't already know... find out what kind of movies they like... you might find out what they are wanting to see.... or it's fine for you to chose..... or wait until you get to the movies and decide what you are both in the mood to see.

If you are a girl I wouldn't start offering to pay a guy's way to the movies. It will make him lazy and he will always expect you to do that.
