I just got fired today. Boss was very nice to me then found out I wanted to be a lawyer. I had been there since June and she found I was taking LSAT Prep Classes. She put me on probation and attempted to drive me out of the office. Was on probation. Probation expired then today at the end of the day called me into her office and fired me. I had done a descent job. The company had countless errors with its work product it was insurance company. Can I collect unemployment? Can I sue? I am only a year and half out of college, this is my second Job. The first I stayed for about year. Law school or other graduate school would be a year away. How much can I get in unemployment in California. I have a descent amount of money. six figures and still live at home as I was saving money to by my own place. Should I buy a business? How much down payment would I need? Thanks for all your help!

You were fired, so you can collect unemployment.

Is it worth suing?

This is a Blessing for you. You no longer have to answer to anyone, let's face it a job is journey of the BROKE. You live in a time that the sky is the limit you can be and do anything that you want. Recently I FIRED MY BOSS and it is the best thing I have done in a long time. I am now in a Home based business and have a great income, can spend as much time with my family as i like and best of all I get up in the morning when I am done sleeping not when the clock tells me to. If you want more information on this Blessing go to www.mydiamondfortune.com and start living your life.

Yes get unemployment and a better job.
I had the same thing happen to me, I was hired in a CPA firm to be the head bookkeeper but they found out I was finishing college so fired me. They wanted someone who wouldn't want promoted. The women I replaced as bookkeeper and I passed the CPA exam the same day.

You can draw unemployement. The reason you were fired is because you did a descent job. If you had done a decent job you would still be there.

You will get unemployment. Why not look for a job as a paralegal? They should be supportive of your schooling.

Yes, you can file for unemployment. You may also have a lawsuit for discrimination.
