Not based on earth... The kingdom's territory is not land, but lives. Many people misunderstand and think the kingdom was intended to be earth based, so they are looking for it still in the future, but Jesus told his followers that they would SEE the kingdom come with power. (Mark 9:1 Jesus went on to say, “I tell you the truth, some standing here right now will not die before they see the Kingdom of God arrive in great power!”)

I'm not sure if I can agree with His kingdom equaling heaven. The reason being is Jesus is coming back to reign ON EARTH for a 1000 yrs.
His kingdom has NOTHING to do with the world. The Word says that a friend of the world is an enemy of God.
In simple words, the world should have no part with God's children. In Western churches, this is far from applicable.

Jesus was talking about Heaven.
Remember Heaven is ETERNAL. Now a lot of people misunderstand "eternal". They think it means an infinite amount of time, that it just goes on forever and ever and ever. That's wrong.
Eternal means it exists OUTSIDE of time.
Think of it this way. Look at a map of the United States. You can see that Kansas is north of Oklahoma, and Maryland is south of Pennsylvaina. So if I were to ask you "Is the Moon north or south of Kansas?" what would you say? It isn't North, and it isn't South... it's just OUTSIDE...You couldn't answer because the Moon isn't even on the map... heck it isn't even on the same planet as Kansas. The Moon exists, it's real, you can see it... but it is so far OUTSIDE of the United States that it isn't either north or south of Kansas.. it is just outside.
Heaven is like that. It is OUTSIDE of The Earth, the World, the whole Universe, even Time itself. AT some point Time, the Universe and everything will pass away, but that won't matter because Heaven (and Hell) are not part of this Universe.
Jesus meant that his Kingdom is in Heaven, the next world, the eternal world, the world that Won't pass away at the end of time.

The Kingdom of God, where Christ shall set at the right hand of God on the day of judgment, also in Revelations when Christ and the new kingdom shall descend from the heavens, Jesus meant also that the Kingdom of God was separate from this world because of the fact that the world is full of sin, and only upon the day of judgment and the earth is made a new shall the Kingdom of Christ be set upon the earth.

This world is a sinful place and also full of things that would sway people away from God. We cannot get carried away by the things of the world and at the same time be fully commited to doing His work. Examples of the things of the world are money, status, and all the material things that would make people neglect to even pray.
His Kingdom is holy and not made up of all the things regarded as so important on earth.

Jesus meant, that this world is going to pass away, and there will be a new world; the world of tomorrow, where there will be no sin, evil, hate, there will be love and peace; this is where God's kingdom will be(Rev. 21). This is the new earth and new heaven,. God's kingdom will be on the earth in the holy Jerusalem.

I would be very honored to answer this question.
This world is evil and its father is Satan.
The kingdom of God is pure and Blessed and only those who are true Christian will go there. As obedient children we do not conform to the evil desires within us. Although, all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.
We must work on ourself and not to allow deceit, malice, anger, lies to become a part of ourself. Only the pure will enter the Kingdom of God. If you sin ask forgiveness and continue on serving the Lord.

Jesus kingdom is currently made up of all those who put their trust in his finished work on the cross. Those of us who submit to Christ as king and lord of our lives. Christ kingdom will be made up of at least the whole Earth when he returns if not the universe.
Hope that helps.

He meant that this world does not hold the ideals of his Kingdom. You cannot follow the world and Jesus at the same time.

In the book of Luke, the kingdom He mention is your body, christians don't smoke, don't drink too much because we believe His Kingdom is ourselves and purity of your heart. It should always be pure, yes, His kingdom is part no of this world. He lives in our Heart. Love, compassion, forgiveness...
