Question - A God that says "Pride is a sin" would not say "come worship me."
My question is, why are you worshipping someone who informs you that pride is a sin?
Think of it in realistic, real life terms - you play for a sports team, you work for a company, etc. One of the employees/teammates is really good - would you prefer him reinforce how good he is with "I'm the reason we're doing so good, protect me, worship me and my skills" or would you prefer he say nothing at all and encourage others success?
Nobody likes arrogance, but I'm confused why so many worship a God that, really, in his own words, would suggest not to.

Jesus or God would have NEVER told you to worship him. It's breaking the sin of "pride" so why do you do it?

Kween, what do you mean complicate? I'm suggesting God does what he preaches - actions are louder then words - you may look past that but that is your own ignorance

Puff, you proved my point exactly. You are foolish to think God would tell you to go love then not do it himself - the only people who lie are evil. Christ, you follow rules but your leader doesn't even follow them, himself, according to you - I pity you

Orthodox, I am Buddhist, and in Buddhism, we do not worship anyone, including Buddha and even Buddha would tell you that - Buddha was not a god

OK, not one of you understand this question, you just read what you want to read. It's like people could talk and talk and talk to you and all you hear is what you want, a bit here, a bit there, but in the end, your mind is set and closed and what's worse, you cannot see that. I pity all of you

He is God and God is perfect why wouldn't we worship him. If we don't worship who do we worship? Buddha?

God is the creator. It would be foolish of me to put myself at His level. I'm not sure how old you are? I don't mean that sarcastically. When I was a child I grew up Catholic. I really thought I'd die a martyr before I'd committed sins I did as a teen and young adult. I swayed away from church and wasn't to sure about Jesus because of the way I saw different Christians treating each other of different denominations.
Thankfully He drew me back. I'm embarassed to admit that even after that, and trying to be a good Christian I still did a few things, that others might not think are so bad, but I did. I was mortified, and upset that I did something that was to me lower then a depth I ever dreamed I'd sink.
Yet this brought me deeper into a relationship with God. The more you keep your eyes on Him, and off yourself the more joy, peace, love, and maturity you will have. All this so I can tell you why I believe all the pride should go to God above,
We are not even capable of deserving it. I sincerely hope this helps you understand, I hope this some how draws you into a loving relationship with your heavenly Father.

God is the creator of earth and everything in it. we are required to worship our master, when pride sets in we then need to be humbled in order to have the heart to worship him. If we can't worship him then we are full of pride and worshipping ourselves. we become boastful, self centered and bitter and these attitudes get in the way of worshipping our holy God. there will come a time when God will deal with that pride and break that pride to humble man in order that he may be worshipped. The word says pride comes before the fall. All things are given to us by God, not of ourselves. Study a few verses and gain wisdom on this subject then you will understand why pride will condemn a man to go to hell, a place you nor any man would wish to be.

I'm not sure I understand your question any better than the others but I have a different take on it so I'll give it a try...
The GOD of the BIBLE does not say "pride is a sin". The BIBLE says "pride goeth before a fall' meaning prideful men end up thinking too highly of themselves and thereby find themselves moving away from GOD. The quote is from the book of Proverbs which was written as a type of advice column for believers. Other references to pride in the BIBLE refer to 'the pride of man'. In some scriptures on love, pride is tied to boastfulness and the result is implied to be sinful.
Basically, pride is an attitude that serves as the gateway to various sins. [I know pride is categorized as one of the Seven Deadly Sins but that is Catholic tradition not biblical principle.]
Hope I've answered the substance of your question. :o)

God or Yahweh in the Bible is a three head trinity combined of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit. He refers to Himself as a jelious God several times. To worship Him is not considered prideful, but instead considered humbling and generous. He knows that we are faulted through sin to boast or be prideful. BTW pride is not a sin, but it is what you do with it that leads to sin. Ask God for revalation to His word and He will give it to you. Peace out bro. good question.

Do you even understand what pride is all about?
It's making yourself out to be something other than what you truly are, either greater than, less than, or other than.
God is eternal, He is all powerful, He created everything and gave us life. For Him to say so is not pride.
God IS deserving of worship. What He said in the 10 commandments was that you shouldn't worship anything that isn't God. I worship God because He redeemed me from a life of drugs, booze, cigs, etc. He gave me my life back, He restored my mind, He forgave me for all my sins, and then He adopted me into His forever family.
When you get to actually KNOW God, you WANT to worship Him. But if you're NOT worshipping God, then who ARE you worshipping? Like I said, God said that we are not to worship anything that doesn't qualify as God, that is anything that is limited by time and space. God transcends both time AND space.

Pride in ones self is a sin, if you worship, you should be free of pride, and humble yourself to your teacher, father, savior, etc...
" To get to the father, you must believe in the son."
If you are good at a sport, and you know it, most others will know it as well, you don't' have to be boastful, and egotistical at all, as far as i believe, what we are born with is a gift, that was given to us to help us, or others learn, and if used improperly / abused, then more then likely we will loose that gift forever.
When "we" worship, it is not to, for a lack of better wording, become a cult-like group, it is to acknowledge that we follow the teachings of god, and that we recognize the his son as the way to get to god.
True religion is a walk with god, alone, for no one else to know about, you have your own life that you have lived, and done your own things that are know to god, no one else.
I feel that when you are truly with god, you don't need organized religion to keep you on the path that you are meant to follow, if you know god, you know that all you need to do is what right, and just, and whole. That is the teaching of god.
To go to church is to revitalize yourself, and to feel like you belong to something good, and we all need that, but you don't have to go every Sunday to be a "christian."
You just have to believe, and do what you know in your heart is right.

The bible says God is love. It also says God inhabits the praise of His people. When we praise and worship God His love inhabits us. Pride is just the opposite. It is idolatry, which violates the first commandment. Pride puts your self before God. You are then worshipping HIs creation rather than the creator. And that does make you confused.

Ok first of all this is a man who died for me! That in the first place tells me he loves me and that I should worship him. Second of all you can have pride in yourself but too much pride where you become something you are not, then that is a sin. God told us not to put any other things before him. Not gods, not world things, and not our pride. All God wants to do is Love you and for him to love you, you have to break all your walls and pride and accept his LOVE!!!

It would have been the ultimate in arrogance had it not been true.
Once again, I have to answer a question in which the asker is guilty of anachronism.
You see the people in the period in which Jesus came on the scene were looking for one to come who would be God in the flesh.
When they wanted to know if he was this one, he rightly showed them. It would not have done for him to lie would it? Further, as God he was and is worthy of worship and praise unlike any of your examples.
You are not looking for God who came in the flesh so naturally you try to force Jesus into your framework of understanding. This is however flawed as we must look at things in the context in which they occurred and not force our perspective onto them.
In short, the people he came to were waiting for him (something called the Messianic Hope, do some cultural research). Some found what they were looking for in him, some did not.
I hope you find what you are looking for.

God doesn't have pride. He just knows that He is God. Basically He knows that people are going to worship something. He wants us to worship the true God instead of some idol or something.
