No, there is no grace period, in fact, if you look closely at your registration, many states have the registration expire on a certain day, within the month that the sticker/tab says, for example..........your tabs show 10/08 expiration. The license tab isn't big enough to show the exact date, but your registration could likely say 10/12/08, and if you were pulled over on 10/13/08, legally you could be ticketed for expired registration. So, look on the registration form for your exact date for expiration.

There is no grace period on expired tabs. They expire on you birthday. That is to say your birthday is Sept. 9, and Sept. 9, is the day the tabs expire. After this day, you will be charged a late fee of $10 in Michigan.

Depends on the state you live in. Look closely at the sticker, it will say either 'Expires on the first day of month indicated" or "Expires on the last day of month indicated"
Expired is expired.

No! you have till the end of the month of the month which they are due to expire.... You want proof, go online with your respective state's Department of Motor vehicle and read up on it. If you need additional proof wait till you get stopped by police and I'm sure you will get the proof you want in the form of a ticket.

Not in the state of Oregon. Your tags state the month and year. Cops start ticketing the next month.

Yes, you have until 1 month after it says they expire, but I would still try to get them before the tag says they expire just to be safe!
