yes I was baptized I was 34 when I was baptize (that really meant anything anyway) and it was full submersion. It is symbolic of my death to myself and the resurrection into Christ. I was also baptized in the Spirit... Like John the Baptist said "I baptize with water, but one is coming who will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire" (Matthew 3:11)

Baptized means DUNKED or SUBMERGED in the vernacular. I trusted Christ as Savior (and received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit), THEN I was baptized by submersion. It DID nothing FOR me except get me wet. I was 17 and I'm now almost 61. A few years ago, I had the honor of baptizing one of 'my boys'. He was in my class in 4th grade and in 10th grade he trusted Christ and asked if I would baptize him. No, one does NOT have to be a pastor/preacher in order to baptize someone. The only other person to baptize besides the preacher was a father who baptized his son (in the past almost 15 years I've been there).

...The word Baptize is a Greek word meaning immersed or taken under... you don't get "sprinkled" or "dipped"... to be Baptized as Yeshua (you might know Him as Jesus) was Baptized by Yochanan (you might know him as John the Baptist) it is done by complete immersion, taken under... Sadly, many of the "religions" of today don't follow the Scripture and take ignorant baby's and "sprinkle" them (which accomplishes nothing)... Yeshua clearly gave us the perfect example of the act of Baptism...

Baptized with the Holy Spirit upon believing the gospel.

Water had nothing to do with it.

Emerged. I believe that is the only true way to be baptized.

With water baptism I was laid down i9n the water and then lifted up. It's like enacting the resurrection, where the body comes out of the grave and on to eternal life.

Yes, It was after repenting of my sins, It was in His name (Jesus). It was full immersion, and for the forgiveness of my sins, Acts 2:38.
It is called obeying the Gospel, the Gospel (good news) is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Baptism is how the blood is contacted. Col. 1:13,14
