My boyfriend of 7 months is taking his ex on a plane ride for her birthday because she has never been on a plane. They have a kid together who is going to but I still feel that it is a pretty sweet gesture for someone that he is not with anymore. He said that I was over reacting but I'm not sure if I am.

Ask him if you can come too. Me personally, I would be upset. Why would he want to do that for her? I can understand him celebrating his childs birthday with her but not her birthday. It's something a husband would do for his wife or a boyfriend would do for his girlfriend. It doesn't sound right.

You most certainly are not over reacting. He should not be anywhere near her if he's not doing something for the kid. It sounds like a BS excuse to spend some time with her. Find someone that is interrested in you and only you. Good luck.
