As a Christian it is my goal to be like Jesus -- I know I will never meet this standard but it is in the heart-felt attempt that I have a daily walk with God.

I always thought that to e Christian one followed what Jesus Teaches and now you affirm that its to like Him? No wonder people hate Christians. Jesus was always asking others why he should help them but he teaches that we should go the second mile without being asked. He said he was only here to save the Jews, but then saved the thief on the cross and told the woman by the well that by her faith she was saved. He spoke cruelly about his religous leaders and then healed a mans hand right in front of them which was a work on a Sunday, a very grave sin, so you keep trying to act like Jesus, I prefer however to just follow what he teaches.

I know that I am a Christian because God filled me with His Holy Spirit(Being Born Again) My whole life has changed since He came into my life. Becoming Christ like in our own power, never works. Only the Holy Spirit can change our desires and gives us the power to live the life that He wants us to live.

I think maybe what you are asking is "How good of a Christian are you?" I believe that there are many Christians who do not live up to the name, but are merely relying on the grace of God. I also believe that there are many who call themselves Christians who try to live up to the name instead of trusting in Jesus for their salvation. These are the ones who I think are going to find that they have a problem. The others will live in the slums of heaven.

Yes, I'm Christian. I don't quite understand what your trying to ask. I am, also, trying to strengthen my relationship with the Lord. I realize its not easy with all the things on TV, at school, from friends, etc, etc. But I find that if you fill yourself with the holy spirit that those things wont cross your mind twice because you know better, you know its wrong, and its not the Christian thing. As a Christian, I am trying to do so, and cleanse my mind of these secular things, as to be "Christ-like".
BTW Im 14.

Yes I am a Christian, a follower of Christ. I have accepted His wonderful gift of love and life. Does that mean I don't struggle at times, no I think anyone who is honest would say they do, but I do my best to walk the walk, not just talk the talk.

I am really a Christian, yes. a true christian is a person who has put his or her faith and trust in the person of Jesus Christ and fact that he died on the cross as payment for sins and rose again on the third day to obtain victory over death and to give eternal life to all who believe in him.. (unfortunately over time, the word "christian" has lost a great deal of its significance and is often used of someone who is religious or has high moral values instead of a true born again follower of Jesus Christ)

If you believe in Jesus the Christ, do not be a Christian, be his disciple or a follower. To be a christian means to follow the entire bible for they believe the entire bible was inspired by God the Father who art in heaven.

A follower, believes only in the Words of him they follow, a disciple learns not only the Words of him they follow, but they believe in the Words, and because they believe in all the Words, they do them. This is faith.

Being a christian means you are a child of God living under His guidance. The Holy Spirit is the director of that tutorship on earth. He leads you to the teachings of Jesus as God refines you. God is pure so we need continual cleansing, which is what the words of Jesus are for. As we seek(study) Jesus we draw closer to God and are changed to conform to His will. He who has been given much , much is expected. If we love God like we say we do then we will be willing to change our ways to conform to what He wants us to do. Like obeying your parents or a coach. They help us accomplish their goals and ours. You might say you're taking a walk with God.

It would be more proper to define a Christian as one who belongs to Christ; one who has the Spirit of God.

The logical question that follows then, is, what results in one receiving the Holy Spirit, and the answer to that is that it is those who know, believe, and understand the gospel.

It also helps to understand what constitutes a false gospel.
