Lil Pals collars are designed for small dogs. I carry them at my store which are very popular.

Petsmart
Petco
pretty much any pet store.

you can even find them at Walmart in the pet section

I'd get an adjustable collar they can grow with

and remember, you should be able to fit 2 fingers under the collar once its on.

I also advice HIGHLY against the "get a bigger collar and tighten it as much as you can" advice.

A small dog adjustable collar is the best. An adjustable collar can best be described as being ajdustable like a bra strap... normal collars buckle like a belt.

If you have a small breed dog, you may want to consider getting a harness for walking.

Many breeds of small dogs, (Chihuahuas, shih tzus, boston terriers, pugs, Bichons) have issues with their soft palettes that when pressure is applied to the throat (Say if they pull a little when walking, or during training when you pull back lightly to have them sit. a gentle tug)

it can cause them to make choking noises and gag. They also have issues with a sound called "Inward sneezing". Even a Gentle tug can send them into this.

Any breed of dog can get this... it effects small dogs more.

keeping any pressure off the throat is a good idea.

You can use a collar for your ID tags, but I'd avoid walking with the collar. I'd use a harness for walking.

Most pet stores or PETCO usually has them and if you have a really small sized puppy try using a cat collar til they get bigger a lot of the cat collars look same as dogs except they are smaller.

any place that sells tea cup puppies. or petsmart or petland. i recommend that you get a collar that doesnt have any holes in it. you make the adjustments. they are cheaper and they can grow with the puppy. you will have to buy a new collar by the end of 6 months most likely depending on the type of dog anyways.

they sell them at petsmart..i've seen some pretty tiny collars there..but i wouldn't get one that is too small, i would buy it a size bigger and tighten it as much as you can so the puppy can grow into it and it will last longer
