Okay i like this guy....and he thinks i like him. and he always flirts with me in class!!! well anyway i had my friend go up to him and say 'my friend thinks you like her' and he said 'no....i just flirt with alot of people' but when he said that,it sounded kinda like a lie. and the day after all of that happened, he barely talked to me in class! why did he act different?
does it sound like he likes me?

He does. He wont admit it because he's shy, but he does. when that happens and a guy sort of avoids you most of the time he's trying to get his head round the fact that youve discovered, he askes is it that obvious? then he thinks..well how do i ask her..he'll probly be alot more shy around you..that is where you have to work to open him up..he's like a closed book afraid of what you might think. show him it's ok for him to like you. show him you like him. things will work out.

He acted differently because now, thanks to your friend's intervention, he feels like he's on the spot and under scrutiny...so he feels compelled to "prove" he doesn't feel the way he probably does. I know you involved her because it felt safer than speaking for yourself, but putting another person into the mix may have set your progress with this guy back 3 months. (Never a good idea.)

because u had ur friend do the work. u should have talked to him alone. ur best bet is to go on as if this did not happen. if hewants you, u will know.
