When you stayed with a cheater, how old were you?

I have a friend whose fiance cheated on her and she is 35. I told her she is should be wise enough to leave. She is thinking about staying.

I am asking b/c I could see a 22 year-old staying but not someone who is 35.

I guess it all depends on how the one cheated on feels....if they can manage to get past it and move on and still have a life together then I guess go for it but I wouldn't recommend it, no....I was 18 going on 19 and when I found out I left, not right away because I'm not the type of girl who texts you to tell you it's over or calls you and leaves a break-up message on your voice mail, so I waited until I saw him face to face next, as he was away on work business when I left (he was in the military on duty)....so I stayed an extra 4 days with him (but at the same time not with him) because I wanted to do what I felt was right....in the end things worked out for me, I found the love of my life and we've been married a while now and have twins due in 5 weeks! Can't wait! Best of luck to your friend - I hope that all goes well....

22, but I ultimately left her when I was 32. (Ironically, "cheating" had nothing to do with why I left her, but it made it all the easier to do. Had that not happened, I may well have hung in there a little longer to try harder to make it work. The moral here: Don't cheat. It has consequences that are far-reaching, even if they don't occur immediately.)

24 I'm twenty five now and will never do it again, unless he has plenty of money and is paying all my bill and we live in separate homes and i don't have to sleep with him!
