say you are a 27 year old male or female would you date a male or female who is 17. think of the consequences of the person who is 17 that come with since they are not 18 or 21.

I would say that it is a bad idea. I heard that you have to be 18 and in that case it's not a bad idea but I would just be friends and nothing more maybe later on you can be with them. I was 16 when I met my man and he was 23. I guess it's kind of different. Good Luck!

I definitely would not date anyone that is 17 or younger if I was 27. Now since I am a parent, if my kid was 17 and someone that's 27 was trying to get with her, that person would be in some serious trouble.

I don't think it would be bad. Well, it depends on how close they aer to 18. If they're like 3 months, then that's ok. If they just hit 17, then you better back up and watch out. And I would have to say it also depends on the parents. Some care, some don't.

Best to stay out of trouble. If I really liked the person (and wanted a future - not one spent in jail) then I would wait.
