What should I think of this? We've been friends this whole time, but still flirting...well I decided that even though I still love him, it was time for my heart to say goodbye. I told him today I was over him and that he's only a friend to me. I told him that I see him like all of our other friends and he replied: "That's not the title I was aiming for, but ok." What does it mean...

Based on what he said, I think he may have feelings/attraction for you but is afraid to stick his neck out, just like you. He may be on the fence and afraid to loose your friendship if things don't end up working out romantically. The only way to know for sure is to find out from him. You gave him an 'out', and he didn't actually take it, right? He may be more interested in you than you think. Either way, if you ask, you won't be left wondering and you can go from there. If you seriously Love him in a romantic way, why not take a chance and see what happens?

Keep in mind... either way it goes, you're good. :-)

It sounds like the title that he wanted was Boyfriend but he is accepting that you only want to be friends.

Are you wholly devoted to your 'friends'? I think not. Looks like you have serious fellow on your hands, now what?

Ex's cannot be friends afterwards, one of the two will want more. It's not healthy.
