Anyone here ever used the "band in a box" software?

I need a little portable backup band, and I'm not familiar with this program! Or maybe there is something here on the web that I could use! I can't afford anything too expensive!

Band in the box is great. You can enter in the chord changes you want and the program will generate a band for you. It can also generate a melody or improvisational solo as well. You can control the style, key, tempo just about anything you'd like to. All this and it's not terribly expensive.

You'll need to have a good tone generator however. Band in the Box by itself uses general midi sounds. You would not be happy with midi sounds for any type of performance.
