I just purchased a .357 mag s&w j frame model 360. I was really curious how other owners felt about this awesome little gun . I'm going to use it for concealed carry. i'll use 38+p's at the range and 125 gr. .357 magnum loads for carry . i've actually shot derrringers with .357 mag so i'm not really worried about it. s&w tells me the gun will take .357 mag all day long with out a care. i've already got a hogue monogrip installed- feels great - and the trigger action is really awesome. any ideas on synthetic concealed holsters starting with shoulder carry. curious to know what other owners feel about their scandiums after a while of use . i hear reliability is also great with these guns. any info greatly appreciated-thanx!!!!!

I kind of like the web of my shooting hand the way it is and not calloused or blistered. But thanks for asking.

I wouldn't have one as a gift, but if you like it, that is your choice. As a kid, I had cap guns heavier that that skeeter weight five-shooter.

You don't need a shoulder holster for a 13 ounce J-Frame snubby. All you need it a good pocket holster, and carry it in your front pants pocket.

FWIW, I've carried a 25 oz. M-640 that way for years. The only thing is you might want to ditch the big rubber grips and put on some of the old style wooden service grips.

One more thing, even at 25 oz. some seasoned sixgunners fine my M-640 uncomfortable with full power .357 Magnum loads. Don't count on that skeeter weight revolver with magnums for carry until you've shot at least 100 rounds at the range, and I mean 100 rounds of your carry load, not .38 target wadcutters.
