I don't think it should, but it does because you have that emotional investment.

Does it hurt? Yes, it can. It is those we love the most that can hurt us the most. However, the highs and positives of love are worth taking the risk and you will survive- it will make you stronger and wiser if it doesn't work. As the poet John Donne said, "No man is a Island." This has been my experience and if you want to really live life, you have to take a chance once in awhile.

Do it hurt to love? Does it hurt to love? Yes, love can be painful at times. Sometimes you will not like the person, but you really love them!

Yes, but it's the whole idea of the PLEASURE OF PAIN! Sex hurts sometimes too... playing a sport can too, going to school can, almost every good thing can hurt...but guess what?
The reward of loving is beautiful and worth it!

Oh yeah it hurts sometimes, but there are times when you look at that person and get that really "full" feeling inside of you and it is the greatest feeling in the world! That makes all the pain worth it. Good Luck!

It depends on what kind of love you're talking about.
Human love can hurt. Not love itself, but loving someone who doesn't love you back hurts. Loving someone and having them reject you hurts.
But God's love never hurts. It heals all the pains caused by human love. The difference is simple: God's love is perfect, and human love is not.
Does it hurt to love? It depends on who you're loving.

It does indeed, from time to time because you have to stretch your heart to link it. But if it hurts all the time, you have to wonder if its abusive rather than love, because love should also warm you when you are cold and still you when you tremble, and bring you joy too.
