God created Satan. God created all the angels to serve Him.
Satan was a beautiful angel. A Light Bearer with jewels on his breast and pipes for beautiful music but he rebelled against God.

God did it. Oh wait a minute, man created god in his own image. Well then, the god that man created, created satan, or whatever it's name is. Doesn't that mean that the god that man created is a bad creature for creating another creature that does bad things to us?
Why would any intelligent being believe in any god or earthly religion?

Over the years, it seems to me that "Satan" seems more like a philosophical way to explain the evil desires in the human persona. I mean, why would God create such a being, and if Satan is in charge of all the evil beings, do you really think those evil people are going to follow anyone, it would be anarchy down there....

God created every living thing on this Earth. When he originally created Satan, Satan was not Satan, he was good and a believer in God. Then God commanded everyone to prostrate (bow down to) Adam but Satan thought he was above Adam so he became bad. That is the story of satan.
As for why God created Satan, he created satan to test and see who follows the way of satan and who follows the will of God. The ones who follow God are good and will end in heaven and those who follow satan will end up in hell.

*** it-2 p. 866 Satan ***
Origin. The Scriptures indicate that the creature known as Satan did not always have that name. Rather, this descriptive name was given to him because of his taking a course of opposition and resistance to God. The name he had before this is not given. God is the only Creator, and ‘his activity is perfect,’ with no injustice or unrighteousness. (De 32:4) Therefore, the one becoming Satan was, when created, a perfect, righteous creature of God. He is a spirit person, for he appeared in heaven in the presence of God. (Job chaps 1, 2; Re 12:9) Jesus Christ said of him: “That one was a manslayer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him.” (Joh 8:44; 1Jo 3:8) Jesus here shows that Satan was once in the truth, but forsook it. Beginning with his first overt act in turning Adam and Eve away from God, he was a manslayer, for he thereby brought about the death of Adam and Eve, which, in turn, brought sin and death to their offspring. (Ro 5:12) Throughout the Scriptures the qualities and actions attributed to him could be attributed only to a person, not to an abstract principle of evil. It is clear that the Jews, and Jesus and his disciples, knew that Satan existed as a person

Yes god did it. Satan is just like us. He is one of Gods children too. The reason he's in hell though and not on earth like us is because he rejected the lord and his plan in the pre-existence. So those that were with him were dragged too and can't have a body. God created him because he loved him and even though he is bad, the lord loves him as a person.

I'm a Christian, and I believe (because the Bible says) that God did create the angel that became too concerned with glorifying himself. Satan is a fallen angel. I know it sounds weird, and people probably think, "Why would God create an angel that He knew would fall and become evil?" I really don't know. I just trust that God always knows what He's doing!
