I have the manual where it tells me how to take it off and put it back, however for the adjustment part, it just says "make sure you adjust it" and that's it. It doesn't tell me how. I already took the old one out and put installed the new switch, but my brake lights still don't work. I don't want to move ahead of my self to other troubleshooting procedures without at least "adjusting" the switch.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

yeah, I checked the fuses, everything is fine. I would still like to know how to adjust the brake light switch though...I really do not see much to adjust though..which makes me more curious than anything else

So, you saying the brake lights not working? And you trouble shooting the problem? Did you check the fuses first? I not sure how it adjusted. It, should screw or something. I have a 1990 Truck (It a big year difference I do understand) and the brake light switch not really adjust on it, and never had a problem with the switch. But, did have a fuse blow once.

You did no longer say what variety of bike yet on a Harley the brake lever and the change housing are seperate. If the lever bracket isn't tight against the change housing the brake easy will stay to tell the tale.Or the change might have broke whilst it became into dropped.

adjust the nut and switch by sliding to far or to close to the brake pedal, maybe adjust your emergency brake as well. Then double check to see if the bulbs were installed right?
