...I am a sinner...but, I have Jesus...so, I have a good and faithful teacher...
...to me, being good includes a lot of the little things done for others and for ones self from day to day...like cleaning out my son's car when he doesn't have the time to do it himself, or bring some dessert from home to my Dad in the nursing home...I sit and sing hymns to him...the more one does these things, the more it becomes ingrained
...seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit is comforting and enlightening...it can also be difficult to do the good or right thing sometimes...that's when I need my Lord the most

I think that in a world filled with evil it is very hard to be Holy... and that's our biggest challenge and mission, that's why we come here, to learn how to make our spirit stronger while facing so many difficulties and adversities. However, we can do it, and God knows we can!!
What can I do to be holy or good? To be honest, at this moment, I am struggling to keep my family united and in harmony and this has been a big challenge. Frustrations, deceptions and resentments are like heavy clouds over our heads and those clouds insist on blind our sight... but I am stronger and we will get over this period very soon...
Yes, Jesus gives me strength and self-control to set my eyes on what is good... thank God!!
Peace!

Amen - thank you for posting this.
I am trying to teach my children what the Bible says and also teach them what the world says. Even though they are young, they are very understanding about the Bible and concerned for other people. They pick up on things that I miss - like on a movie when someone will say something totally against what God's word says.
Reading God's word, studying what it says, and prayer. Those three things keep me on the right path. I still sin, of course, but I am a lot more sensitive to sin than I used to be when I lived in it!

Amen to that. It is hard to do. When I was younger, most people were nice and I wasn't; now that I am older and everyone is rude, inconsiderate, clueless, disrespectful and nasty, I am going to be nice. It isn't easy. I sin every day. I constantly read Psalm 37:3-10 to remind me. But, if I just follow the Holy Spirit, then I know what to do as for as it being right or good.

Grace ... a share in the divine life of God himself ... is the only thing that makes holiness possible.
If we can't find holiness in Jesus Christ, than we are not likely to ever become holy at all.
Catholics know that Jesus instituted his church as the universal sacrament of salvation, and as the primary dispenser of all his grace.
The church administers 7 sacraments in order to freely distribute God's grace in abundance, to all who request it.
There is no more effective channel of grace than the sacraments, because every sacrament (particularly the Holy Eucharist) involves a personal encounter with Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit, in accord with the divine will of God the Father.
Joh 6:53 (6:54) Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen, I say unto you: except you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you.
Joh 6:54 (6:55) He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day.
Joh 6:55 (6:56) For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed.
Joh 6:56 (6:57) He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood abideth in me: and I in him.
Joh 6:57 (6:58) As the living Father hath sent me and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, the same also shall live by me.
Joh 6:58 (6:59) This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not as your fathers did eat manna and are dead. He that eateth this bread shall live for ever.
Anyone who thinks there is another way, or a better way, iis obviously suffering from a lack of grace ... most likely the result of a denial of the need for and the effectiveness of the sacraments ... and/or due to a basic lack of faith in Christ.

i think of you are able to desire to accomplish a little added soul finding. The holy spirit factors with faith to have self belief and indwells us while we are stored. that's no longer a feeling or a manifestation, it basically is. Loving God and believing is all you are able to desire to do. yet you desire to "instruct" and "effect" through fact of a few particular present God has given you. Use the presents you have. Be form, affected person, giving, friendly, trustworthy and trustworthy. Do those issues and God will shelter something in his time. you have plenty to learn in the previous God can completely use you, so permit him do the artwork.
