Depending on your state. Some have outlets if they are bordering other states, like Vermont does and it's cheap. If that isn't eh case go to a local package store and ask them for a bulk price on what you want and see what kind of break they will give to you. They may want the money up front and make sure to get it earlier than you need it so you aren't left short. If the state is controlled by an Alcohol Board, like Virginia, you have to buy from the state alcohol for the hard liquor and the beer you can try dealing for at any store, usually a smaller one that is privately owned will be better. Try a few and see how good you can get it for. Good luck, congrats and you are smart for being thrifty, it will be over in a flash.

If you have a bevo nearby, they are always doing the buy one bottle of wine, get one for 5cents deal. Or Trader Joes. They always have good deals when you buy a large amount of wine. As for your signature drink, just go to costco and buy the cheapest non brand liquor that you can. Nobody will know the diffence and it will save you a ton of money!

Seeing that you are located in the DC Metro area, there are PLENTY of ABC stores, especially in VA. Do a search for some and make some phone calls. Also, if you know anyone in the military they can assist you with getting less expensive alcohol products on base. There are many military bases in the DC Metro area.
Good luck and best wishes!

i would sit up a bar with a couple of kegs of beer.also i would have a big tub full of different single servings of wine and let the guests serve their selfs.ditch the bartender and let everyone do it their selfs.you can save a few hundred dollars doing it like that.

A lot of people these days, make their own wedding wine.
Those places that sell the kits will do it & store it for you.
But you need 30 to 60 days minimum to make a batch.
