I'v been listeing to Hillary Clinton and other Democrats on this issue and it sound like that they want us to pay for every childs health care. I allready pay a good amount of my pay check to taxes and Bush did help that out by cutting taxes. But it sounds like we are going to have a Demicratic President and all they want to do is raise taxes for the middle and upper class. I make well over 60,000 a year as a single women and I am barely surving. ( I live in Ca) I can't pay any more taxes specially for people that don't want to work is hard as me.

i think your right, they should come in the right way. i dont think its fair for the americans who are living here and came here the right way to be forced to pay for **ILLEGAL** immagrants.
email i got (sorry its a little long, but it gets the piont across):

A lady wrote the best letter in the Editorials
in ages!!! It explains things better than all
the baloney you hear on TV.

Her point:

Recently large demonstrations have taken place
across the country protesting the fact that Congress
is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration.

Certain people are angry that
the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this c ountry and, once here, to stay indefinitely.

Let me see if I correctly understand
the thinking behind these protests.
Let's say I break into your house.
Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave.

But I say, "I've made all
the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry
and swept the floors. I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest
(except for when I broke into your house).

According to the protesters:

You are Required to let me stay in your house
You are Required to add me to your family's insurance plan
You are Required to Educate my kids
You are Required to Provide other benefits to me & to my family

my husband will do all of your yard work because
he is also hard-working and honest, (except for that ....breaking in part).

If you try to call the police or force me out,
I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my RIGHT to be there.

It's only fair, after all, because you have
a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm a hard-working and honest, person, except for well, you know, I did break into your house

And what a deal it is for me!!!
I live in your house, contributing only a
fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of cold,
uncaring, selfish, prejudiced, and
bigoted behavior.

Oh yeah, I DEMAND that you to learn
MY LANGUAGE!!! so you can communicate with me.

i have nothing against people who come into this country legally, i like that our country is so diverse, but its unfair for us to have to pay for their health care.
(sorry i wrote alot)

It's alittle late to start complaining about illegal immigrants or any immigrants health care plans. There are alot of other areas that you as a tax payer as well as the rest of the U.S. born citizens are paying a heavy cost to support immigrants, legal and illegal. The matter should have been corrected or voted down 50 years ago. The years might not be correct, but for certain while alot of people sat around doing nothing, the special interest groups see to it that one way or another these people are being taken care of. You can understand why there is this push, because alot of them aren't part of the tax base paying the bills. The only way to correct the problems is to go out and vote everytime you can , if their isn't anyone running that shares your views at least vote for the one that comes closest to what you believe is right. There are far to many problems now that are taking place because people don't take the time to vote when it's time to do so. There are alot of these people in the different State and Government positions/offices that are there for years, so the problems become like a sore that won't heal.

I don't like paying for anyone's healthcare except for veterans to be truthful. Also active duty. I do however believe those uninsured cost us an arm and a leg. I would like to see some healthcare reforms. For illegals...No. For citizens ...Yes. Maybe not free healthcare but some program where they can get AFFORDABLE healthcare. Right now they say 84% of middle class don't have healthcare insurance. We pay for that you do realize right? As far as even LEGAL immigrants I don't believe that should be a citizens burden. If reduced healthcare was offered it should become madatory for ALL to purchase it. Or garnishment of wages for your bill which right now is next to impossible to enforce in courts. tax payers are being burdened to death.

If they are not American Citizens they have no right to any health care or any kind of aid that American taxpayers are paying for to help American Citizens .
Not people from another country that break our laws and invade our country .
That could be considered an act of war by another country .
Do you know of any other nation that would allow it to happen ?

Of course not!!!!

And as far the asinine comment by the above poster that "they do jobs Americans wont do". You couldn't be more wrong. They take jobs from the weakest and most vulnerable Americans--by glutting the market with criminal presence, by depressing the wages. No one is "exploiting" them...no one brought them here against their will and no one is forcing them to do jobs for under minimum wage.

Where is that so called "pride" your screenname refernences anyway?

Illegals are criminals and leeches who should be deported and / or prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

We should not be paying for anything when it comes to illegal immigrants, except for better border protection. If someone comes here illegally, they have NO rights afforded by OUR Constitution whatsoever. I'm tired of the liberals and bleeding hearts trying to coerce us into feeling sorry for these people and giving them things or services that our own citizens don't get.

8 other states already offer illegal immigrants licenses. At least the ones getting licenses are registered into the database with their real ID. They can only get the drivers license if they show a passport. The database is also searched for duplicate entries for that ID Note that the 9-11 hijackers were not only here legally, they also had at least 35 drivers licenses. This licensing plan actually closes gaps in the security system instead of opening more. I am not sure where you get the idea it allows them to vote. They would still need to get onto a voters list. That means they need to be a citizen and not a convicted felon either. I wonder if any of you are interested in the fact that this law is being pushed by the Homeland Security with the Republicans in control of that department backing it strongly. The last thing they care about is whether somebody is driving uninsured. They want to know who is inside your country.

I'm with you...
break the law, you ain't gettin' **** from me..
ain't workin' to pay for your own care...forget it!!!

My family's in the same boat..
How can we expect to pay for others, when we can barely afford ourselves...?

The so called jobs americans won't do aren't there to find because of the lawbreakers....

Once again, who's getting this health care because I'm not, nobody I know is and nobody they know is either!
Now, where is tax money going? Hmmm, schools, (you want the future generations to take of you right?) road construction (CA has that 12 lane highway thing) oh, right, the war (that we won't get out of) and someone has to pay the politicans.
Here in IL, I pay for my health care, a staggering $71 a week. I work my a$$ off to pay for everything myself, nobody is giving me a handout.
PS: use your salary to get some spelling lessons.

Of course it's not fair, I'm a illegal paying tax, that doesn't have any health insurance, and i pay my hospital bills all my self, without government help, and I think all illegals should do the same, because like it or not they are using the money that I pay for taxes too, right?
(in case you don't know illegals use a TAX ID#or also knowing as TIN # to pay taxes).
I hope you don't hate me, I try to do everything right.
