Yorkies, and a lot of small dogs, on average live to around 15. However, I've seen dogs in their 20's and some that don't make it until 10.

There's no real true way to determine. Basically, don't think about the time span, just enjoy her while you have her.

And, although there is a rather intricate calculation method, an 8 year old dog is roughly 54 human years.

Im not familiar with toys but is 2 walks a week enough, i have a 40lb pitbull and she gets 2 grueling sessions of fetch every week and 2 30 minute walks a day. but being a small *** dog, it might not need more than 2 walks a week. I think the yorkie lives about 10-12 years. If you get a young dog now, statistics show that your older dog will live longer. Plus when your yorkie dies, you have the young one to keep your mind off the dead one.

OLD???? That 's still a pup. All the people that I've met with older Yorkies were well into their teens. They say that for every year in a dogs life x 7 = Human age. Example: Your dog is 8 so x it by 7 that equal 56 human years. 56 isn't old. So relax and enjoy your many more years with her.

He is about 32 to 36 in dog years. They age 7 years the first 2 years, and 3 after that.

Each year of a dogs life is like 7 years of a human's life.Your dog at 8 years old is like a 56 year old person.

I think every year in dog years is 7, so that would make her 56. I heard that larger breeds don't live as long, but our huge flat coated retriever lived to be 17. Your friend don't know diddly!

The first year of a dog counts as 8 human years, after thatit is 7. So, at the moment your dog is 57. Don't worry, small healthy dogs, like you live 15 years on average. Doggy heaven isn't ready yet to welcome yours.

I believe to convert animal years to the years of people, it goes by 7 years per human year as I've been told. So do 8X7 to get 56.
