My 8th grader is having a sleepover next week - with a scary Halloween theme. She'd like to have a Ouiji Board there. I remember playing with one as a kid - and scaring each other to death. It just seemed like fun to me. Do you think any of the parents will be upset? Is this a no no? If your daughter was a guest at the party - would you be upset about a Ouiji Board activity?

Personally, I would not be offended. They're just a game. However, for the party, I think its best to leave it in the closet. Many people are touchy about them and parents would get offended. Why don't you suggest they stick their arms in cold spaghetti instead? Always scared me to death.

PLEASE don't use one of those things. They invite demons into the place where you use the Ouiji board - and makes everybody EXTREMELY vulnerable to evil. STAY AWAY! You don't even want to got there. Im 15, and my friends wanted the same theme as your friends, but eventually decided it was a bad idea. Its never a bit of fun, Ouiji boards are dangerous things...and hell yeah if my daughter ever went near one of those things I would be furious! I can imagine most of the other parents feeling the same as well. Do a bit of research on the dangers of Ouijia boards, please.

No way would I let my daughter go to a party that had a quiji board there.

There shall not be found among you [any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, [or] that useth divination [or] an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things [are] an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
Deuteronomy 18:10 (KJV)

If you are dead set on doing this at the party (and I absolutely would never allow one in my house), I would send a letter or call parents warning them ahead of time or you will have some very ANGRY parents on your hands.

I would not allow my daughter to attend a party if I knew a Ouija board was there. In the Bible, God strictly forbids us from using witchcraft or seeking other God's. A Ouija board is form of divination, which is the use of witchcraft to divine things. This is clearly forbidden and is a dangerous thing to play with. Satan is a real entity. When you use witchcraft you give him a license to come in an do his destructive work. It's like giving the demons an invitation.

I would have to say no way to the Ouiji boards, they represent evil, I want even allow one in my house. They are alot more than entertainment in my opinion. They definitely fall into the witchcraft catagory to me.

evil.
they abosulutely can open a can of worms that most people are not able to handle.

people who think demons are a joke and to be taken lightly better be careful.

if my daughter was invited to a party and a ouija board was being used? I wouldn't let her go. while as a christian i do not think kids should be kept from halloween or other pseudo pagan activities, evil channelings have no place around children.

Evil. Do not bring one in your home. You can open portals to the spirit world that you may not be able to close, and you could also bring a negative entity (which often disguise themselves as good) into your home and life. It is something to be taken seriously, not a toy.

Also, some parents might get upset.

Ouiji boards are definitely as evil as anything in any toy store. Ouija boards, GI Joe dolls, rubber girl dolls and electric telephones are all evil.

After I got married my wife and I had problems with demonic activity which we traced back to her involvment with ouija boards. You have no idea how many times she wished that she had never touched that thing. MY advice, stay away from it.

Not evil but I think if the kids believe it you could scare the crap out of them. Plus if any of their parents are of the religious persuasion you might be letting yourself in for some trouble.
