Very easy for me to distinguish between the two, but very difficult to put it into words. The 767 has a very distinctive blunt ended nose, whilst the 300 is a little more pointy and the cone starts far earlier than the Boeing. The 767's engines appear to be a bit smaller which gives its fuselage a much more wider look. The 300's engines look a bit bigger and rounder (in profile) than the 767's. The tail of the 767 has a lot sharper lines than the A300.
Also you know the when the lower fuselage, just after the wings, starts to bend upwards towards the tailcone (to prevent a tail strike). Well that bend is very sharp in a 767 following wich its near straight line all the way to the tail. The A300 has a lot more rounder bend and it continues to curve all the way to the tail cone.

In general the A300 has a very much more of a bubble shape, whilst its American cousin has sharp and straight lines.

Easiest way to see it though is to take a 3 year old and ask him to point at th better aircraft. Then you know that is the 767!!! Hope this helped, feel free to e-mail

Those are the airplanes that are extremely fat - because it is a really WIDE body - they all have hugh 747 cargo doors on them because they are only good for frieght service now - DHL primarly still fles them. They have a horrid safety record from poor design of the autopilot, flight controls and vertical stabilizers breaking off - perhaps the better way to tell the difference is by the white knuckle - sweaty browed - B scaled pilot in the drivers seat with the plastic Jesus on the Glareshield ..

Easiest way to tell the difference is by looking under the wings. A300 has prominent fairings under the wing giving it the look of a rake.

The main difference is the cockpit windows and the small piece of body flap near the wing root on the A-300.

There are other differences but those are the most noticable.
