It depends how you die. But then everyone dies, and then that's it. Whatever's after death is the same for all of us. And the means by which you die makes little difference after the fact, since you'll be spending all eternity in that place.
I don't think that people who kill themselves get anything different after death than those who run the course of thier natural lives. Although being a believer in Physics I don't think that the people who kill themselves have any control over thier actions as do any of us. I think thier actions are a product of thier lives, which must have been a downward spiral.
A 19 year old in my course hung himself over the summer. I didn't know him that well, I'd been out with him once, he seemed stable and confident. But then things can happen that change a person's state of mind dramatically. It's strange and sad for those left behind though.

I had a friend who shot herself in 2000. She was in an abusive marriage and was an alcoholic. She was a lovely woman, but was careful about what she shared with her friends and would "beat around the bush". One of my other friends noticed some things that were odd but was not able to communicate to her about it. One thing she noticed was a bruise mark on the woman's face.
What shocked us later was when we found out that the gun that the woman used to kill herself belonged to her husband and that she had threatened him before that she was going to do it. We were also shocked that he did not get rid of the thing after she told him this.
I feel that if anyone is serious about killing themselves and is sharing it with others, that action needs to be taken. You can call 911 and an ambulance will take the person to a hospital where they will be put on a 72 hour hold while a doctor evaluates them. And if the doctor feels something is really wrong, they can hold them up to a month.
Suicide is not the answer for someone who is going through a tough time. Each of us has to undergo trials in life; trials which in the end make us a stronger and more spiritual being. Also it is important to stay close with trusted family members and friends during these periods, as they all will pass.
I hope this was helpful. Thanks for sharing.

I have had an uncle, a cousin, a brother in law and two friends commit suicide. Also two people I worked with. I also work in mental health, so we have had patients commit suicide from time to time.
Whatever your view of Heaven is, I don't think it's barred from people because of suicide.

I'm 49 and my 23 year old son committed suicide. No I don't think it hurts to die--mostly fear of death. Yes, all go to heaven of sorts I think. God is the All Merciful. Your loved one knows, now, all about why it happened and understands. s/he doesn’t want anyone to have pain over what s/he did. But we must grieve and life goes on here in the world of dust.

definite I did. approximately 7 years in the past, my maximum suitable pal's brother killed himself. He drove out to Port Ynemi (SP) that's close to Malibu California and started sniffing cans of cool whip (aerosole). The law enforcement officers have self belief he have been given so severe that he took a gun to his head and shot himself. they chanced on him the subsequent morning in his vehicle. It became so unhappy through fact I had be attentive to this guy considering the fact that he became like 5 and there became never ever any indications that he needed to kill himself. I nevertheless think of roughly him and attractiveness why he particularly did it. As for myself, i attempted to commit suicide three times while i became approximately 14. My dad and mom have been getting a divorce and that i presumed it became my fault. My dad and mom chanced on me the the 1st 2 situations and positioned me in a psychological hosital and that i attempted the 0.33 time on the wellness facility. i'm 31 now and that i'm very happy that none of my tries worked through fact I certainly have a great life and am extremly happy. i haven't tried considering the fact that i became a teenager.

I lost my husband to suicide...many attempt prior to where i involve the cops and mental health people...most of the time when they say they wanna die...can be sign of depression, and a cry for help for the pain they feel...the sad thing...many times...no matter how close and how much we try to help...those with suicidal taughts...will eventually succeed...which happend with my husband....and i think there pain end once for all....and bible say....when we die we paid for all our sins...up to God to decide ....not up to us to judge..

I don't believe in "Heaven".
And your friend is probably in a better place.
I wouldn't call him my friend, but this kid named Zach died when I was in 10th grade. I felt kinda bad...He was a funny goof ball. We were more like associates..
