Such as a grownup who still believes in Santa Clause? Or in the Tooth Fairy?

What would you think of that person if he/she backed his/her beliefs on countless novels or films where Santa appears to save the day? Or on the money he/she found under his/her pillow?

How would you react if he/she went to you trying to convince you of the truth of his delusion?

I cannot imagine anyone really truly believing this... IF this is so, I would say to never mock this person, but show love to them, give them truth to cling to rather than trying to show them how this is not so... Focus on what is real and back it up, be prepared, and be up building to them...

Many people believe many things... Most part because everyone has a desire to believe in something... Not to mention how many people world wide suffer from some sort of depression, or chemical imbalance to throw off the brain... Even a poor diet can contribute to the brain not functioning well... There is good fat our body needs, then there is fat our body does not need... This too is not good for our mental awareness and ability to reason things out... Over time can do deep damage to the mind and body...

The best defense is true love for your neighbor... If you can exercise this, and reach out to GOD in prayer, there is always hope...

Yea I really like the theory of we just poof came out no where from two rocks in space banging into each other or something.

Wow but ya know what, you are so right! Your argument is sooooooooo original and has no flaw! I cant believe god really is like Santa Claus and the tooth fairy.

God is real in my life. I dont give two sh*ts what you believe, why do you care what I believe?

You idiot basher, Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy aren't the same as God. The Bible isn't the same as your "countless novels."

You, an obvious atheist, are the one holding on to a delusion- the deluded belief that a God does not exist.

After all, if God didn't exist, how would explain the world around us? Let me guess...Evolution? Crap. To say that the world, in all its complexity, came about through evolution is like saying a hurricane could construct an airplane, since evolution is pure chance. (Complex systems developing from simple primordial ooze? Give me a break.)

Neither the tooth fairy nor santa clause are referenced in any religious scripture that I know of. Nor have I ever heard of any adult who believes in them. On the other hands, there are two billion Christians, mostly Catholic, and 1 billion Muslims who believe in God,which would suggest a poor analogy on your part. By the way, your insulting and deliberately provacative "question" is clearly a violation. It's called trolling.

well i'd probably spend all my time going into the Santa and Tooth fairy section mocking him.

Then i'd go into that section asking a stupid question like "Satanians, what would you think of someone that believed in the Great Pumpkin" to which some smart aleck would answer:

"i'd probably spend all my time in the greak pumpkin forum mocking him, then ask a question like..."

I have read your line before, so.
Christians are not delusional.
The Q has been addressed in a court of Law.
The arguments against Christians were found to be with out merit!
Case dismissed.

I could say..what of the person that is deluded enough not to admit the obvious..Like some one who still thinks they can fit into a size 9, or isn't going bald..I see God as obvious..You don't have to.

Very good question! I would think they weren't looking at all the evidence, and were close minded to the factual evidence around them.

If you are concerned about your reaction to hearing the gospel then be assured that it will lead you to the Father of mercies, who comforts the afflicted.
