What do I do when I get to the airport? Just check my bags, go through security, and get on the plane? I've never flown before. Any tips about anything would be appreciated. I get knots in my stomach everytime I think about it!

It's not so bad. If you use online check-in for the airline, then all you have to do is go to the counter to check your baggage (if any) but keep the paperwork from your online check-in handy - you will need that at the counter, at the security checkpoint, and at the gate. When you are done at the counter, you just go through the security checkpoint, and then go to the gate and wait to board the plane.

if you're checking in your bags, better to check in at the airport for you will be issued a boarding pass with your luggage to check in. be there an hour and a half or so depends on where you're going. make sure you don't have liquids over 3.4 oz. if you do have liquids put in all in a ziplock bag. even lipgloss or any medicine (liquid) should be in a ziplock bag too.
you go to the counter to check in your bags and your boarding pass will be given to you. you will pass the security so get your boarding pass ready with your ID. i'm assuming you're flying domestic. have fun and enjoy your flight.

Take a portable dvd player with you. Dont think too much about flying. Have money to shop around in the airport
