I think they reproduce faster and are allowed to have more than one wife. So having a big family is OK and probably encouraged. I could be wrong. But look at Bin Laden's family! Man, there was a bunch there! If each of them had even 5 kids, just think how many there would be! They reproduce like crazy!
I do not agree that Islam is growing faster anyway! Even if it were, I would not jump on the band wagon! This would not mean it was the right way! Broad is the road leading off into destruction..........

This is a statistical nightmare. Most growth numbers are self-reported and unverified. In the US, for example, it is based on census data, and you can say anything you want and it is taken as fact.
Muslims, Catholics, Mormons, Wiccans, and more claim to be 'the fastest growing', but what is this based on?
In the US, the fastest growing category is 'none'. World-wide, the 'fastest growing' are Islam and Catholic- mostly because of a high birth rate within the faith!
Other faiths claim fast growth- but look at the claims honestly- are they building new churches, temples, etc.? Are their existing buildings becoming over-crowded? In most cases, no- in fact, most faiths, including the biggies, are more likely to sell building than buy them.
Few pollsters actually count the numbers of people in religious buildings and track the changes over time, which means there is not a lot of real fact behind the claims.
For the most part- IF Islam IS growing so fast, it is mostly due to the birthrate in its stronghold countries.

Because it is nearing to the end of the world.
Hints of the world ending
1: Seas will rise ( global warming, ice caps melting)
2: Buildings will reach the sky ( skyscrapers)
3: War everywhere
4: Humans overpopulating
5: Muslims retaking the world.
6: Earthquakes everywhere
7: ( Final ) Seas dry up and a big gap on the world
This is our Muslims foretelling of armageddon. We will populate the world again

Because it is logical, you can question it without your faith being questioned and it is the same message as the previous Abrahamic prophets had so most people can relate to it... the core of Islam is the core of Christianity which is also the core of Judaism...
My reply to scruffy:
I have read the Torah, and the bible as well. In fact I have many verses memorized from both the "old " and new testaments as I grew up in a very religious christian household. I considered Judaism before I finally converted to Islam from Christianity after 7 years of studying the Abrahamic faiths... I liked the fact that Islam honored no one but God (one of the 10 commandments!) but had a place for Jesus as well since I do believe he came from God with a message for all man kind. My suggestioon for you is to read the Quran cover to cover and read the Christian bible cover to cover... go with an easy to understand translation (NIV maybe), you will see the similarities and inshallah God will lead you to the right path.

It's not. This is a myth promulgated by the Islamicists to "prove" their belief is better.
In actual fact, there is a lot of worry in the Islamic power circles about the 6 million Muslims a year in Africa who are converting to Christianity.
New comer, Islamic "beliefs" in Jesus and his teachings are diametrically opposed to the beliefs of Christians and the teachings in the Gospel. You should read the new testament before you go making such ignorant, ridiculous assertations.
hkabteni1980: Same goes for you. The Islamic message bears little resemblance to Abrahamic teaching, and in fact contradicts it regularly. read the Torah. Muslims are required NOT to question their faith because it will lead them to disbelief. It is totally illogical to accept that Allah was the author of the universe and while he was writing the Quran in heaven, the Final Word, the Instruction book for all Mankind, that he had to mention that Muhammad's foster son could divorce his wife so Muhammad could satisfy his lust for her. There are many other such stupidities in this vile document that belie any sort of divine inspiration.

Because it address reason and common sense… while others practice hatred and injustice then they cry for Muslims whom fight back as terrorist while they forget their crimes in the name of religion….
EDIT…EDIT…EDIT
// Scruffy Scirocco//
I could have understood your opinion before editing it … and while the asker answered your so called "African Example" I can see how that affected your reason to say such an ignorant statements…while Mohammed (pbuh) described self faith questioning the ultimate faith you come with BS and lies as an examples of your ignorance…Torah is the book of Jews and frankly I could do better with a Playboy mag. Than that of your human written Torah; that claims all kind of sexual events against the good prophets of God…second to give an out of context example from the Quran makes me rest my case on how you are out there in complete ignorance and if you really want to explore the truth you have to write for my e-mail so I can further explain in another time

Faster reproduction rate in 3rd world nations where it is the state religion, and forced religious instruction of all children. Christian religion is not forced on all children, just the children of existing christians so the rate of growth is much slower.

Death threats to Muslims who want to become Christian, or to Muslims who have become Christian. It's very dangerous being a believer when you live in a country that's mainly Islamic.
