As catzrme said, if somebody had a pre-existing medical condition such as asthma or a weak heart than excessive tickling could be a contributing cause of death but it is unlikely that the tickling would actually kill you.
There has never been any proof that somebody could actually be tickled to death. The most likely scenario for somebody who is tickled so intensely that they could not breath is that they would eventually fall into a state of unconsciousness due to a lack of oxygen.
Personally, I believe that tickling should always be done with respect for the feelings, desires and limits of the ticklee.

It is possible to be tickled until the point where you are in pain, and i'm sure if the tickiling continued there could be concequences and maybe even some system failures, but i dont see how death could be the next step .. maybe if continued for a very long time, or if you had a weak system.

I suppose death might be possible, though the tickling would be more in the line of setting off whatever might actually kill one according to a pre-existing condition. Insanity, though pretty equally legendary, seems somewhat more plausible.
