Okay, I have a dilemna. I have a check with me and my co-signer for 20,000 dollars, but we don't have the same bank, and they wont let me put the check in her account because I don't have an account with them, and I can't get one because I have no state ID (This happened at Chase and Citibank), do you people know any alternative routes I can go about getting this check cleared as soon as possible?

you can sign it over the her and she can deposit it. My boyfriend does that all the time, he signs his checks to me, then I deposit it the atm and it clears a few days later.

Good luck

Do you have a passport? If not. Does she has a state ID? If she has state ID, go to your bank. Let her sign over to you in front of the teller and she needs to bring her valid ID (which mean not expired ID). Then you can turn around to give her the money, either by writing her a check or withdraw (if you can for that amount), give her cash or cashier's check.

You should be able to deposit the check in your co-signer's account. You don't need ID to make a deposit. You just can't withdraw any cash.

The check will have to sit in the account till it clears before you can get the cash.
