I live in CA do you need a passport to go to Rosorito, Mexico????

If you are driving you don't need a passport until sometime next year. It is currently only mandatory for flights.

If your driving, all you need is a birth certificate until Jan. 1, 2008. If flying, yes, a passport is needed. After Jan. 1 you'll need a passport regardless. If you are going after that, i'd go ahead and apply for a passport now as the US Passport offices have been backed up for months.

yes you need a passport to travel any where outside the usa.
