my trust when it comes to returning my vehicle, being back when he says, keeping his word to me,and being honest.The issue is with someone with a TBI, concussion syndrome, lft frontal labotomy, can i actually hold him to the same standards of honesty, and timeliness as other people. I know he loves me and we spend most of our time toghether, but about the trust? anyone?

I don't think he is capable of changing. A brain injury like that will cause problems like you are dealing with now.

Learn all you can about his injury and diagnosis so that you can understand him and the side effects of his injury better. That way you will know what to accept as part of his injury and what not to accept. On the outside it sounds like he is not the most dependable type of guy or is forgetful. I wouldn't know if that is because of his injury or just his character. Read up on his injury to see which it may be - though concussion can mean forgetfullness.

There is nothing he or you can do. Damage to the frontal lobe is serious stuff that almost never comes back. It concerns reasoning. Don't expect him to be normal. He isn't.
