one of my neighbors lets her little dog do whatever it wants. it runs in the middle of the street and almost gets hit many times a day, almost bites people, chases school kids and scares them and to top it off, she doesn't let him poo in her yard. She lets him go out in the neighborhood where it crawls under fences and poos in people's nice yards and barks at them when they try to sho him away from THEIR own yard. She's been reported many times and plays it off like "well I'm just an old lady and he's too fast" but I see her let him do this! Is there anything that can be done?

I had that same problem with a neighbor. Her pit got into one of the neighbor's garage, took 2 puppies into the street and snapped its neck and broke the mommy dog's leg. It was a horrible sight. This same dog would bark and chase anyone who gets even 2 feet near her driveway. The dog even came into my yard once and growled at me when I was gardening. It is quite scary, especially since I have a 2 and 5 yr old. Call animal control and the police. HOA has sent her many letters, but that didn't help. It wasn't until she received several fines, tickets and dirty looks from all the neighbors when she started chaining down her dog.

I agree, I think its a good idea to get as many neighbors as you can to make a complaint to the animal control, or you could even visit your town/city hall and ask what can be done. You should all do this together.
This is not only unsafe for the people, and unfair to the neighbors who have to deal with the dog waste and potential bite they may receive from the dog, but it is also unsafe for the dog. "little old lady" doesnt cut it. I know that sounds harsh, and Im all for the eldery having a pet, but just because their old, doesnt mean they shouldnt be responsible.

Every times he's out of her yard, call the SPCA or what every your local animal control is. (don't put it in her yard because when the animal control comes it is not in violation)
After she get a few fine maybe she will keep it under control.
Call the animal control and ask them what can be done because it is dangerous for the dog and the local children. Then act accordingly.
Someone like that should not have a pet

If she does this at the same time every day, have the animal control officer there to catch her in the act. If you can't do this, I like the idea of videotaping her and her dog. Call animal control every time until they take action. Get your neighbors to do the same. Eventually the fines will become too expensive and she will change her actions or get rid of the dog

Been reported to who? I would suggest calling the local animal control. They will physically take the dog and she will have to pay to get him back. If she does not claim him, then someone who would take care of him can adopt him.

You could video the lady letting her dog do this. Then report it again and actually show them the video. You can even talk to the lady herself and tell her that you see her doing this. This lady isn't doing her dog any good by letting him do this and she isn't doing any good for herself either. Hope this helped.

Get a few of your neighbors together and write up a complain together... keep doing it until Animal control does something...
That is too bad - hope you can get this taken care of!
