You could have just reported the question and gotten credit (not points but they do keep track) for giving a good report. The quidelines say that no one under 13 is allowed to post or answer anyway. There are very good reasons for that. It protects the kids, and it protects Yahoo.
Whenever you see a post that starts off "I am 12" or 11 or 10 (yes I have seen it go that low) then report it. And if its something where its a dangerous subject, then report it as a crime post so it gets looked at faster.
