When we ask an antheist that what makes you different from other people, her/his answer would be : because of my genetic( because they don't believe in soul)

Now what about the twins who really look like each other and they have exactly the same genetic but we still can see lots of differences between them.
Now what makes this twins different? can you say the genetic?

According to "biblical" scripture, twins must not have souls until 14-21 days after conception, otherwise they would have to share the SAME soul.

Atheists understand that nature AND nurture both have an impact on how a person turns out...

Try this, identical twins that have been separtated at birth are known to make many similar choices, i.e. the same little know toothpaste, same clothing choices etc.

Genes do differentiate one organism from another but they have nothing to do with two organisms not being the same, i.e. 2 clones will share a great deal of similarities but they are still 2 different organisms. Your argument would indicate that twins are actually the same being and not 2 separate organisms.

I haven't seen the genetic comparisons between identical twins or any studies that state they are indeed exactly identical at the genetic level. It might be best to confirm that before asserting it.

You are the sum of two factors: your genetic makeup and the decisions you have made throughout your life. Everyone makes hundreds of decisions every day so no pair of identical twins are "identical" for very long. Your choices make up your destiny and your "self".

Every HP computer coming of the assembly line is "identical" but once they get different users, they diverge.

Edit: Whoa, I have got to comment on some really dumb things said here. Identical twins have identtical DNA. They are formed from the same single fertilized egg that splits into two organisms. There aren't little differences. That just means they will have the same physical attributes - hair and eye color, skin tone, etc. Feed one a different diet and they will quickly develop differently - fatter, skinnier, more muscular, etc. That's not genetics that life, decisions, free will, nurture, etc.

yeah. every one is different. they may have the same genetics, but that is two different bodies. two different outlooks on life. two different sets of organs and every thing else. the body always reacts differently. they are alot alike, and have a high chance of being able to donate blood or an organ to each other. later in life one could develop a specific allergy, while the other did not. if one is prone to asthma that does not automatically mean that the other also has it. even if they live the same lifestyle. you will never find two people alike. some that are very similar. the closest you will come to two individuals being alike is in cloning. but they are far from doing that to humans successfully. do a little more research. you will see.

It's called DNA. I don't have to explain it, millions of scientists already have. Twins have the same genetics, cause they came from the same parents, and they have very similar DNA (so much so, that if they both took a paternity test, if they were men, they would both be the father of the same child, isn't that wild?), but they still have differences, because it's impossible for DNA to be exactly the same for two different organisms, unless this has been acheived through the use of science, a.k.a. cloning.

I do sort of believe in a soul or something like it. Everyone has something inside them that makes them different. And with identical twins, even if they were raised in the same home, their environments are always slightly different, so this could account for the differences.

I couldn't process what you were trying to say earlier, but I think I finally get what you're saying.. You're saying that atheists believe genetcis make us different, and theists believe souls make us different! Right? So basically, you're saying genetics don't exist and souls exist? Or.. that our genetics are our souls? Or that genetics don't play any role in who we are, and it is the soul that determines who we are?

And then you bring up the twins who share the same genetics, yet are different people, and you say that it's the soul that makes them different, right?

Well, I believe personality is based on nature and nurture. It's based on your genetic personality, plus the environment around you. Two different people will go through different experiences, and two different people who go through the same experience will handle the situation differently.

Two twins who go through similar circumstances may actually respond very simlirarly to each other. Two twins in different environments will definetly make them different people, however some may still make some similar choices, I mean they would probably have dealt with certain situations the same way if they switched places..

And then there are those twins who are completely different from each other, like my friend and his twin. Who grew up pretty much in the same environment, but chose to make different choices in life. To that I say, they are two different people with different experiences. They took different classes and made different friends, and became different people, and although I don't actually know his twin very well, I'll bet they share very similar personalities. I even notice that with my brother (not a twin), that our personalities are very similar! But we are two different people who made different choices, and we are very different people.

These different experiences and how we dealt with them is what makes every person on earth different. I believe personality is based on those two things. If you believe that the way a person deals with a situation is based on their soul, then that's for you to believe. I have always believed it to be in opposite terms, I believe a person's "soul" is based on the way a person deals with situations. That the soul is representative of who you are. And I believe that the way a person deals with situations and who you are is based on genetic makeup, and past life experiences.

gamma rays cause mutations in the genetic material, so as the twins grow older they become more and more different. if left unchecked, the differences could become so pronounced that by the time they are adults one could give birth to a cow and the other a frog.

i use a little hyperbole, but that seems like the expected answer.

There are a lot of things we don't know the answers to yet. But that doesn't rule out finding answers with further study.

The differences could be caused by slight, as of now imperceptible differences within their genes, by tiny environmental differences. Even with the exact same genetics(unlikely even with identical twins), one twin's position in the womb could cause them to turn out slightly differently from each other.

they will have had different environment and life experiences, even if only slightly different it is often enough to be noticeable. also even "identical" twins may have slightly different genes from novel mutations. what makes people unique, in the immediate sense, is not their genes but it is that they have functional brains. since identical twins don't have physically the SAME brain there is no reason they should be literally identical.

by the way how many souls do they have? if the soul is implanted at fertilisation, perhaps you might think that they only have one soul between them.
