I have been reading through the answers on the forums, and everytime I click on a question about islaam, all I see is hate. Christians say that they love and God is love, but I don't see love, all I see is hate. I am muslim, and when I see other muslims commenting, I see some patience. Why are the people who are supposed to be so religious so hateful?

That's funny, I see Muslims *and* Christians being hateful.

Maybe that's because being religious doesn't mean non-hateful. Many hateful things are done by the VERY religious.

I am muslim too and one of the reasons that we muslims are so patient is that we know ourselves to be the minority and we do not want to feed into the stereotype of being a faith full of fanatics. Also because the TRUTH is that most of us are not.

We must have the patience to realize that most Christians are not fanatics or hatemongers either.

The faiths with which I am familiar (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) do NOT teach hatred or intolerance however just like Bin Laden DOES NOT REPRESENT ISLAM OR MUSLIMS neither does the KKK or the World Church of the Creator or The Lord's Resistance Army or any other group of nutballs and hatemongers represent Christianity.

What they do is to try to disguise their preexisting hate and ignorance behind a religious veil.

They have not internalized what the scriptures say.
Be careful and DON'T JUDGE AN ENTIRE FAITH BY WHAT A FEW JERKS SAY ON A BLOG. We don't want anybody to do that to us either.
As-Salaam Alaikum

Religious doesnt mean anything, none of these people are God. A lot of Religious use it as a cover, for their truly sinful nature. A lot of the people on here are bored teenagers who have no idea what they are talking about.

A lot of Christians are not following the example of Christ which is what a Christian is supposed to do...love your brother....

I dont know many muslims but the ones I have known were all very friendly.

Most Christians today get high off of the holy spirit and dont realize they are making all christians look like fools.

I am Catholic and proud of it. I went to private school where I learned from very wise teachers and a lot of my classmates were very religious and genious material. We were all taught to be tolerant and it was a Catholic school but we had athiests, muslims, jewish and hindus that went there as well.

Dont let crazy Christians fool you, they are not representing God.

Simple, the religious people think they are in peace in their own fate world, what ever god they believe in, when you see hate in them is because at the moment they forget everything about religion or spirituality, but if you ask them why are they so hateful if they are religious, they may get offended for the question or simply ignore it. When someone is at church or at the temple or what ever you call it in your religion, you see peace among you, for the brief moment while you are in there, but once you're out, you are different.

all i can say is that it is difficult to see unhateful people, the most unhateful persons i've seen are the ones who meditate alot, any one in any religion can meditate, i'm not speaking of meditation as a religion or buddhism, i'm speaking of those who meditate as those who observe what is going on around them. You for example, you seek the answer of why religious people are so hateful, all you see is hate. Well you are observing your sorrounding and that is one form of meditation, when you sit and think why this and that. If you keep observing you and your sorrounding you will find a truth that may shock you and then you will understand many things that you could not understand.

Because these ppl don't really believe or understand the essence of religion. They just have a great need to be part of a group, which allows them to hate or critcize others in order to feel better about themselves. A real muslim or christian would never hate or express hatred towards anybody. Real believers don't waste their time on the internet attacking others.

You will no doubt get your share of 9/11 answers. I wish it were not so. But what you and your fellow believers and those who believe in other religions need to come to grips with is that all of your religions are being used by some people to spread hate.

Religion has turned into a massive conflict which has gone beyond the spiritual and into the realm of smart bombs and improvised explosive devices. It stems from the idea that believers in other religions are not saved and are, therefore, lesser beings than those who are saved (if not actually working against god and for evil).

As a bystander I wish you would all get over the "we're number one" mentality and focus on your own spirituality, not other people's.

hun try being an atheist they hate us even more! earlier today a christian girl asked a very reasonable question of atheists and of about twenty answers the only one that was bitter was from a christian, please do not blame all christians , however, most of them are very reasonable people it is just that on a site like this you are bound to get the most extreme views presented. i must admit i have not yet seen an abusive question from either moslems or pagans you all seem fairly decent people. i do not apologise when an athiest gets slightly abusive- if you look at many questions posed by others we will give a serious honest view (as i hope im doing now) but when someone who doesnt know me accuses me of debauchery, alcoholism or being a drug addict i do tend to become slightly sarcastic.very nice question

i think of so. yet then, i'm antagonistic to gay activities. The very concept is vile and nauseating to me. hence, to think of of two homosexuals being "married" is reprehensible in my strategies. i'm no longer announcing those issues with any hate or malice in the direction of homosexuals, purely against the strikes of sodomy, oral copulation, and so on. I easily have a niece and likewise acquaintances who're gay and that i like them dearly. Does that require that i like what they do? No. i've got self belief that to redefine the long usual definition of marriage to contain homosexuals is inaccurate, and that such unions could be unfavorable to our society interior the long-term. i'm grateful that I easily have a mom and a father relatively of having 2 people of an identical gender declare that they are my equivalent mom and dad. As for the "separation of church and state" factor, you will no longer discover that word interior the form. it relatively is something it relatively is misused and over quoted by making use of people who're attempting to defeat non secular practices. I take exhilaration in which you're "easily curious" and need which you will enable me the final to experience the way I do. I comprehend the rights of people to experience otherwise.

You have apparently missed some questions by Muslims.
I've seen hate and prejudice there as well. There was one this afternoon in which we were told that if we have any sense, we will convert.

Well, I can't find it, but this guy listed a whole long list of people who had supposedly turned to Islam, and he said if we had any sense, we would as well.
He said we were all fanatics and that we all need to turn to Islam, the only true religion.

I am a Christian, and I believe that whatever you want to believe is cool for you.

I don't believe you. I can do the same thing and I see no hate from the Christians. I do see undeserved hate from the Atheists directed to the Christians.
