I have looked on the Creditinfocenter.com site & it states that i can ask for Validation from a sold on debt. Please could you tell me if this also applies by law in England?

Thanks for your reply. Its about validation of original credit, its been 5 yrs, & proof of it being sold on. But if this law dosnt exist in UK, then = anyone with any info plz?

First, if that advice concerned disputed the collection agency's legal right to collect the debt because you didn't sign a contract with the collection agency, that is bogus advice. Contracts normally include language that allows the original creditor to sell or assign the debt to a third party.

Second, the laws in the US and UK would be entirely different.
