the only way i can understand the concept of the trinity is probably a bit childish. but it helped me.
think of the trinity as an EGG. An egg is one thing right. but inside the egg you have the membrane tissue and the yoke. the egg is One as we hold it but it is made with three things and each thing as a purpose.
I believe in God and have accepted Jesus Christ as my savior and i believe in the Holy Spirit. that is my belief. i do not judge others for their beliefs because only God has that power - he did not give it to others.
Jewish people do not believe that Jesus was the Mesisah - but i know there will be Jews in Heaven.
The people from India pray to the idol of Budha - i think there will be Buddhaists in Heaven.
As long as we believe in a higher power that has granted us free will and expects obedience in being good, loving, and caring people - what does it matter what we call our God.
i know many will ridicule me because of what i have said it. but again i say that is my belief and i will not judge you in your belief.

I can only say what I believe personally. I think it was brought to birth by Satan. why was he the covering cherub of Eden?
Maybe he was the third in line? Jesus being created first.
How could they be co-equal when Jesus was created and the almighty has always been here. then Satan was created, probably? But he wanted the humans to worship him.
that is why he put down God and called him a liar.
Most pagan religions has a tryian God.
Colossians 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist, 18 and he is the head of the body, the congregation. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that he might become the one who is first in all things; 19 because [God] saw good for all fullness to dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile again to himself all [other] things by making peace through the blood [he shed] on the torture stake, no matter whether they are the things upon the earth or the things in the heavens.
Revelation 3:14 “And to the angel of the congregation in La·o·di·ce´a write: These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God,

Books and books have been written about it. In fact, you have enough to read in here alone. You will probably be too tired to even bother reading my explanation; since I guarantee you that a great great deal of the other information in here is false information.
I will try to keep it brief; and perhaps, provocative.
Firstly, the doctrine of the Trinity is that there are three distinct Persons in one God.
And lastly, it can be summed up as the intrinsic activity within God Himself as knowing and loving Himself. God, as Trinity, is thereful LOVE. This becomes the basis of all creation.

trinity = tri-unity, a oneness of three
for the christian understanding, consult almost any systematic theology book, but basically the "oneness of three" is 3 distinct persons in 1 godhead. since there is only 1 God and nothing else like him, there's not really anything simpler we can compare it to in order to better understand the concept. many people come up with various analogies, but they all have some weakness and cannot completely communicate the concept. perhaps the best analogy is the universe itself ("universe" = unity of diversity).
i'm not aware of other belief systems that have such a concept

Three divine persons of equal essence yet distinct from each other as persons.
A good example is 3 hotdogs ( in my case veggie dogs.).
This hotdog is a hotdog just like the other two hotdogs in essence but it is not the other two hotdogs. The purpose that they wish to fulfill is "sharing there happiness" "Because hotdogs make people happy" . (beattitude)
Quote: Baltimore Cathechism of the Catholic Church." I was made to know, love, and serve god and be forever happy with Him in the next." (that may be a paraphrase but oh well...)

One being, three persons.
A human is one being and one person:
A cat or dog is one being and NO persons:
God is one being and THREE persons.
We can not FULLY understand the Trinity, but the scripures are pretty plain that God IS Trinity:
Jesus tells his apostles to baptize "in the name [notice, singular, not plural] of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matt. 28:19). This is a proof-text: three distinct Persons united in the one divine name. In 2 Corinthians 13:14, Paul writes, "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." We see this same unity of divine Persons in 1 Corinthians 12:4–11, Ephesians 4:4–6, and 1 Peter 1:2–3.
The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus is God (cf. John 8:58, 10:38, 14:10; Col. 2:9). It also clearly teaches that the Holy Spirit is God (cf. Acts 5:3–4, 28:25–28; 1 Cor. 2:10–13). Everyone agrees the Father is God. Yet there is only one God (Mark 12:29, 1 Cor. 8:4–6, Jas. 2:19). How can we hold all four truths except to say all three are One God?

I believe that it is doctrine that wasnt added to the religion until almost 400 years after it was invented. Jesus was "voted" as a God at the Council of Nicea in 325 CE, and the Holy Spirit wasnt added to the Trinity until 381CE at the First Council of Constantinople...
If the Trinity is real, why wasnt it expressely defined in the Bible and instead took 400 years to come about?!?!

Trinity is a bad doctrine of the church of christians. They claim god has three penises and no matter what denomination you join, you are going to take it just like Mary.
They have now stolen as a symbol, the Celtic Triquetra which stand for the stars, moon, and sun, and they claim it represents the christian trinity. this is a lie.
They stole the sacrament and claimed Paul or Jesus gave it to them. this is a lie.
They calim so much fables as truth, half the christians do not believe what they are taught.

The Trinity is the belief that God is one of three things - the father, the son and the holy spirit, and he takes these forms at different times.
