Often when a question comes up about religion, so many are quick to attack and tell somebody they are going to hell. Even when it has nothing to do with the question, people incorporate it in somehow.

1. Who are we to judge who goes to hell or heaven? I am sorry, but I think only God knows that. Only He knows the depths of a person's heart and the true love they have for Him. Nobody else. So, it would be nice if people stopped telling others...you're going to hell. We may "think" we know, but in reality, we don't. Only God does.

2. It is not a loving way to approach a person, and with that, it is not a Christ like way to approach a person. Comments like that spread hate and create tension amongst people. I am less likely to listen to person's point of views about religion who has already, by their "own power," condemned me to hell, than a person who approaches an issue with love and a Christ-like concern.

Love bears fruit. Creating tension, hate and fear do not.

I haven't seen tons of people telling others they are going to hell. But you are correct, only God decides that.

Because some Christians just cannot help themsleves. They think they are doing God's work when in fact they are working for the devil. They are decieved.

Jesus was way harder on the hypocritcal pharisses then he was on the unchurched/unbeliever sinners. Most Christians today are nothing more than modern day Pharisses. They spread their evil myth of hell (it's a temporary purification process, not an eternal dwelling place.) It's a time for the "eon" (a very long time) as translated from the original Greek text. Yet it's been translated as "eternity" instead of "eon". I bet the devil loves that. Christians playing right into his hands.

These kinds of Christians will pay in the end for spreading their evil unbiblical twisted poorly translated doctrine that drags God's Good Name through the mud and makes Him out to be so cruel. Perhaps an "eon" in hell will purify them and purge them of their evil.

Good for you! I like this question as it brings up issues that are real and that people face all the time in this category. I think no one can stand people having a differing opinion, or a differing interpretation.

I have learned along time ago that there are 2 things you never argue over because people have so many opinions has to whats right and wrong, good or bad. Its an arguement you will never win!

Pastor Billy says: Yu'or go'in to burn in hell son! sorry just practising my fire and brimstone Evangelical Fundamentalist Once Saved Dispensationalist Rapture oriented "personal relationship" Sunday service sermon. "Can I get an Amen"

Catholicism doesn't claim that final salvation is already decided nor does it encourage "true believers" to run around screaming "I'm saved, I'm saved" I only notice this poor behaviour amongst Protestant believers.

I agree with you. I've echoed your sentiment many times on this forum. Christ does NOT want people to come to faith in Him from fear. He wants people to come to faith through recognition of God's glory and love. My opinion is that only those who are fearful, approach people to come to faith through fear. If they're fearful then they need to take the Scripture seriously and "remove the log from their own eye (their fear) before they try to remove the tiny splinter from their neighbors eye." God's will is that none perish, He wants all to come to everlasting life. Through love, not for "fire insurance."

You are completely right! We will never get anyone to listen if we chase them away with threats of hell. I appreciate you saying something about this.

Being overly judgmental does not make friends. Render unto God what is God's!
